it’s been a minute.

some of you might have noticed I’ve been a bit less active recently. there’s a good reason for that. in the last couple weeks, we have been pouring our energy into solving a problem that has personally driven me crazy since I started generating images.

Midjourney is a phenomenal tool, but my workflow was a disaster. I spent a lot of time generating pictures, videos, trying out a lot of tools and I lost countless masterpieces, perfect prompts, and game-changing srefs to my own poor management. They were buried in forgotten Notion pages, chaotic spreadsheets, and bookmarks… solutions that ended up being a bigger time sink and frustration than the problem itself.

that all changes today.

Introducing GenStash: Your Creative Companion

I’m excited to announce that we’re ready to launch the beta for GenStash Beta, the creative companion and organizer I always wished I had.

Prompt Stash: Your central hub for prompts.

Sref Stash: A dedicated library for your style references.

• save sref codes

• export import your favorite srefs and prompts as a json file

• it’s a one click operation and all your title, images, colors, sref codes, prompts and prompt types are in your stash!

The Randomizer (My Favorite Feature): This is where the magic happens.

• mix a random prompt from your stash with 1-5 randomly selected sref profiles

• there is an only sref randomizer as well

• it’s a creative exploration tool that unlocks combinations you never would have thought of.

We’re building Free, Pro, and later an AI-powered versions of the extension if there is demand.

We have huge plans for GenStash, AI features like prompt improvers and upscaler implementations, a floating quick-access bar, and even expanding beyond Midjourney. Since we creators use a lot of different tools I want to create a companion and stash that comes with you so your creative context is by your side during your creation process. Your feedback will shape this journey.

As a beta tester, your feedback is the most valuable asset we have. We ask for three things:

1. Report All Bugs: If something is broken, we want to know.

2. Share Your Ideas: All feature requests are welcome. Let us know what you need!

3. Complete the Survey: At the end of the beta, we’ll send a survey.

There are still UI, UX and many more bugs and problems, but we wanted to get it out as fast as possible.

A Few Important Notes:

• Local Storage Only: For the beta, everything is saved locally on your machine. You must export your stashes before the beta ends, or your data will be lost.

• Chromium First: The extension is currently for Chromium-based browsers only (Chrome, Arc, Brave, etc.). We’ll expand if the community wants it.

• No Automation: GenStash fully respects Midjourney's Terms of Service. It’s a tool for organization and inspiration, not automation.

On a personal note, this is our pilot project. My good friend (who handles the code) and I are on a mission to learn how to build, launch, and grow digital products that truly help people. GenStash is the first step on that journey. So please, bear with us and don’t hold back on any feedback, advice, or critiques! it’s all incredibly valuable as we learn. We have huge plans, and your input will shape what comes next.
